Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) resembles an ancient art for the prevention and treatment of disease. Its basic outlooks are deeply rooted in east asien culture and ways of living.
Due to its wide-ranged detailed medical theory, which grew within the course of time and its broad practical application it has become to play a prominent role in the field of complementary healing systems.Its medical theory is based on the understanding and systematization of the "meridians", on the balance of functional and structural substances of the body-mind, as well as a specific understanding of the organs.
By means of individual choice of foods, teaching of movement and meditation especially diseases, which are due the stress of modern civilisation can be prevented and the abilities for self-help and life management of the clients are developed. If disease manifests, therapeutical measures consist of Tuina.massage, application of warmth through Moxibustion, cupping and herbal infusions.
The training course of "Traditional chinese health care" familiarizes the students with the intellectual-cultural foundation of chinese medicine and conveys the principal non-invasive therapeutical approaches, which can be suitably combined with each other. The course also emphasizes a synthesis between tradition and modern science.
Both training courses impart expertise and an overview over different fields of chinese medicine. The courses are held on an international level of teaching , the curriculum offers good oppurnities to learn practice.
By inclusion of research findings on the field of chinese medicine, as well as modern teaching methods the students obtain an attractive and sought after education in the health sector.
