About

The programme of study comprises 133 ECTS (=1000 hours of classes) spread over two years of study. The objective of the programme is to provide the students with such knowledge, problem solving skills and insight in mathematics that they are able to work professionally in different areas of mathematics (including teaching at primary or secondary school) or to use mathematical tools in the sectors of industry, information technology or finance. The programme also provides a good basis for PhD studies in mathematics.

The plan of studies includes the following topics: general and algebraic topology, measure and integration, algebra, real and complex analysis, differentiable manifolds and differential geometry, functional analysis, probability theory, partial differential equations, qualitative theory of differential equations, history of mathematics, teaching of mathematics, optional courses and seminars , course in Polish Culture and History and intensive course in Polish as a foreign language during the first semester.

English Language Requirements

You only need to take one of these language tests:

  • Minimum required score: 6.5

    The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00. The minimum IELTS score requirement refers to which Overall Band Score you received, which is your combined average score. Read more about IELTS.

  • Minimum required score: 510

    The TOEFL – or Test OF English as a Foreign Language – offers a paper-based test (PBT). The final, overall PBT score ranges between 310 and 677, and is based on an average taken from the three test components (listening, structure, and reading).   • Minimum required score: 87

    The TOEFL – or Test Of English as a Foreign Language – offers an internet-based test (iBT). The final, overall iBT score ranges between 0 and 120, and includes a scaled average from the four components (reading, listening, speaking, and writing). Read more about TOEFL (iBT).

Academic Requirements

Persons eligible to apply for the programme are the holders of a higher education diploma (at least undergraduate) in any field.The ranking list reflects the applicants’ final qualification results calculated on the basis of the results from an interview verifying the applicant's motivation and educational background.
Candidates whose first language is not English are required to prove their English language proficiency at the level specified by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

Tuition Fee Per Year

  • EUR 1400 International
for the non-Polish nationals who enrol pursuant to the rules other than applicable to Polish nationals the tuition fee is 6000 PLN/year (approx. 1400 EUR).
