The MBA Program is designed to equip participants from all over the world with the skills to master strategy, change and competition in an international context and to advance in their career. We are committed to educate general managers who can function in a variety of jobs and cope with diverse and changing environments.

Our standards of excellence value highly honesty and integrity, mutual trust and respect as the foundations for competent and confident leadership. A maximum class size of 45 ensures excellent mentoring between professors and students.

Our Approach

Teamwork is an essential element of our teaching approach. In study groups of five to six, participants discuss current course content and apply concepts and tools in practically oriented projects. The program is taught by senior members of the WHU faculty. During the program's international module (we currently cooperate with Kellogg - Chicago/USA, CEIBS University - Shanghai/China and IIMB - Bangalore/India) by the faculty of hosting partner universities.

    Programme Structure

    The program aims at qualifying participants for the strategic leadership of companies. The curriculum emphasizes management concepts which foster strategic vision, entrepreneurial spirit, operational excellence, and awareness of cultural differences. Participants learn to identify complex interdependencies and to leverage the knowledge of functional specialist colleagues for the advantage of the entire company. Due to the global perspective, a sense for an understanding of cultural differences and how this matters for individual and corporate success is developed.

    Academic Requirements

    • A first degree (Bachelor or equivalent)
    • Two years minimum postgraduate work experience
    • One letter of recommendation from a professor and/or a supervisor (a standard form is available on our website)
