MIM - the Master in International Management of the University of Trento - is a two-year full-time program ('Laurea Magistrale') that equips home and international students with refined business knowledge, practical experience and personal skills. Specifically, it provides a sound knowledge in management with solid foundations in economics and law, together with a quantitative orientation and the exposure to a mixture of world-wide cultures.

About

Aimed at graduates and young professionals from all backgrounds, the program is specifically designed to provide an in-depth understanding of the needs and trends of the Europeanas well as the Asianand Americanmarketplaces. The multi-cultural environment, based on the long-term international relationships which globally connect the University of Trento, fosters a stimulating learning process. Accordingly, the University of Trento has been ranked as the best Italian University by the THE (Times Higher Education) international ranking 2013.

MIM lasts 2 years full time (in-take in late August each year), the official language is Englishand it is based on a mixed teaching methodology (traditional lessons and case studies). The curriculum requires an internship which is scheduled as a part of the 2-year-program.

The Department of Economics and Management of Trento is specialized in business studies, economics and law, and offers a wide range of management programs at Master and PhD level. It consistently ranks among the top three schools of business and economics in Italy.

Career opportunities

MIM students are tutored by faculty and staff during the Master and in the internship experience. Professional coaches advise MIM students on their professional careers. The Placement Service of the University of Trento organizes on a regular basis seminars with companies, on-campus interviews with recruiters, career days, individual coaching sessions and placement days. The Job Guidance Office recently launched the “Job Speed Dating” Day and won the Italian “Best Campus Recruitment Program” in 2010 and 2013, as well as the “Best Placement Program” in 2012.

Academic Requirements

You need the following GMAT score:

Required score: 500

The GMAT is specifically designed for admission to business or management schools, and is meant to test how prepared you are for a business degree programme

To apply for MIM, please access the MIM online application form and complete it accurately.
Please note that no paper applications will be accepted.

In order to be considered for admission to the MIM program, a Bachelor’s degree or a higher degree is required, as well as certified English knowledge (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS or similar). The GMAT test is crucial, and selection is based mainly on test scores. A curriculum vitae, two letters of reference and a letter of motivation are also required.

Minimum requirements

Following minimum requirements must be fulfilled by MIM applicants:

  • a three- or four-year-Bachelor’s degree from an internationally recognized institution at university level
  • working knowledge of the English language (min. B2 level of the European Common Framework)

Tuition Fee Per Year

  • EUR 10000 International
  • EUR 3000 EU/EEA

The yearly tuition fee is 10.000 €.
The University of Trento is a public institution and the graduate programs ('Lauree Magistrali') at the Faculty of Economics comply with the Bologna scheme. Consistently, access to the Masters MIM, MAIN, MEC is offered to EU students at a reduced fee, which ranges from 0 to 3.000 €, according to the student's financial situation.

Scholarships

The University of Trento aims to bring management training to those people who excel in personal and professional aspects of their lives, even if they do not have the resources to access the program. Therefore, a number of scholarships are awarded each year to UniTN students, covering the tuition fees as well as most of the living expenses. The Opera Universitaria Scholarship (OUS) is awarded to accepted students according to their academic performance and to their financial situation.

The award of OUS is subject to availability of funds.
