M.Sc. Translational Medical Research

Translational Medical Research concentrates on the interface between experimental basic science and clinical medicine. The aim is thus to ‚translate’ knowledge, mechanisms and techniques discovered by basic scientific research into new approaches for diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Translation in the reverse direction is also highly pertinent, namely the translation of clinical observations into new research questions. This can colloquially be described as ‘triple B’ (from bench to bedside and back again).

Medizinische Fakultät Mannheim
M.Sc. Biochemistry

The international Master's program Biochemistry at Freie Universität Berlin is offered to students from Germany and abroad and is entirely held in English. Capitalizing on the city’s unique research landscape consisting of several universities and of research institutes from the Max-Planck, Helmholtz and Leibniz Societies, we offer a vigorous biochemical training in all modern areas of biochemistry.

Fachbereich Biologie, Chemie, Pharmazie
M.Sc. Biochemistry

The 2-year Master program in Biochemistry offers a research-oriented education in the two specializations "Molecular Life Sciences" and "Molecular Oncology". Selected top students will be offered a "fast-track" option to start a PhD thesis at the Graduate School of Life Sciences (University of Würzburg) after 3 semesters of MSc studies.

M.Sc. Bioinformatics

Bioinformatics is a newly emerging interdisciplinary research area in which Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, and Genetics as well as Theoretical and Applied Computer Science merge into a new discipline. Th Msc in Bioinformatics programme is offered by the Technical University of Munich.

Engineering and Technology
M.Sc. Biophysics

Biophysics is a very exciting and rapidly expanding research field exploring new areas between physics and biology. The complexity of life is investigated at every level and analysed with physical methods. Physics helps understanding the mechanisms underlying the most basics biological systems and interactions.

M.Sc. Bioinformatik

The sequencing of the human genome has been one of the most significant scientific advances of the last few decades and could not have been achieved without bioinformatics. Bioinformatics now plays a key role not only in genetics but in many other fields, such as AIDS research and cancer therapy. Saarland University is one of the leading centres of bioinformatics in Germany.

Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology
M.Sc. Human and Molecular Biology

Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology
M.Ed. Biology

Biology is the science of living nature. Biology describes and explores the manifestations of living systems, organisms, their expressions of life, and their relationships with one another and with their environment.

M.Sc. Graduate School of Cellular & Molecular Neuroscience

Our Cellular & Molecular Neuroscience program offers a unique curriculum and exciting research opportunities for graduate students who wish to pursue careers in neuroscience either in the pharmaceutical industry or in academia. The integrated curriculum offered in this program will give students a broad expertise that is not easily achievable in any individual department.
