Discover the top reasons for why you should consider coming to Alma Graduate School / University of Bologna
Alma is the Graduate School of Information Technology, Management, and Communication of Bologna founded in 2001 as a consortium between Università di Bologna, Fondazione Marconi and Fondazione Carisbo.
In May 2006 Profingest Management School joins the consortium and decides to converge all its activities on Alma.
The Alma facilities are enclosed within Villa Guastavillani on the hills surrounding Bologna, just five minutes away from the town center. Built in 1575 by Cardinal Filippo Guastavillani, nephew of Pope Gregorio XIII, the villa was recently restored by the Università di Bologna: 4.000 square meters of classrooms and laboratories equipped with leading edge visual and computer technology, to ensure effective and interactive learning.
Alma Graduate School is member of EFMD, ASFOR and is ranked as a Top Business School Internationally Strong by Eduniversal.
EFMD is an international membership organization, based in Brussels, Belgium. With more than 700 member organizations from academia, business, public service and consultancy in 80 countries, EFMD provides a unique forum for information, research, networking and debate on innovation and best practice in management development.
EDUNIVERSAL is the first tool offering a truly universal perspective on higher education. It took thousands of hours of research and a comprehensive study of over 4000 websites to finally choose the 1000 business schools of the Official Selection. The Official Selection is the result of the work of an International Scientific Committee gathered at the initiative of SMBG, the French leading consultancy in student orientation and human resources.
The Alma Graduate School's Headquarters is at Villa Guastavillani, one of the most beautiful villas in Bologna. This structure of artistic and historical value was built during the second half of the XVI century on the Bolognese hills, less than ten minutes from the city center, where history, technology and tradition coexist in a particularly beautiful, natural framework.
The renovation of the Villa was completed by the University of Bologna in 2000; Massimo Iosa Ghini's interior design project allowed to rethink these spaces, destined today to high quality training: computer labs, classrooms, great hall and all the technological equipment are always in a state-of-the-art condition and undergo continual upgrading.
The Villa's park, entirely covered by a protected wireless network, the gym and the canteen complete the features of this campus, where participants find dedicated facilities and ample structures, designed to facilitate the learning processes.
A year at Alma is an unforgettable experience. Every student is guided and followed in his/her academic path and is part of the Alma network of Alumni, professors and companies. Different nationalities, backgrounds and life experience make student life unique and the lively city of Bologna with its endless cultural offer and entertainment opportunities is a plus in the Alma experience!
