Alma Graduate School becomes the Foundation of the University of Bologna, with a new name, Bologna Business School, thus strengthening its international reach, as seen in an increasing number of initiatives in the English language intended for a global audience, such as regular conferences, summer school, short-term courses, fellowships, exchange programs, and last but not least full professional Master programs.
Over the last few years the Business School has taken the direction of internationalization, by developing a Master in Business Administration in which young managers coming from 5 continents (the latest edition had 39 countries represented) while initiating collaborations with other international business schools across the EMBA Consortium (Brazil, China, Russia, South Africa, Turkey, USA).
Since the year 2000, over 3.300 young adults have concluded the master and by adding the students of Profingest, it has given life to a community of over 6.000 managers. Over 300 lecturers are also participating in the community, of which roughly 50% belong to the University of Bologna, while 15% come from other international business schools and 35% are managers and consultants.
Bologna Business School is member of EFMD, ASFOR and is ranked as a Top Business School Internationally Strong by Eduniversal.
EFMD is an international membership organization, based in Brussels, Belgium. EDUNIVERSAL is the first tool offering a truly universal perspective on higher education. It took thousands of hours of research and a comprehensive study of over 4000 websites to finally choose the 1000 business schools of the Official Selection. The Official Selection is the result of the work of an International Scientific Committee gathered at the initiative of SMBG, the French leading consultancy in student orientation and human resources.
The Bologna Business School's Headquarters is at Villa Guastavillani, one of the most beautiful villas in Bologna. This structure of artistic and historical value was built during the second half of the XVI century on the Bolognese hills, less than ten minutes from the city center, where history, technology and tradition coexist in a particularly beautiful, natural framework.
The renovation of the Villa was completed by the University of Bologna in 2000; Massimo Iosa Ghini's interior design project allowed to rethink these spaces, destined today to high quality training: computer labs, classrooms, great hall and all the technological equipment are always in a state-of-the-art condition and undergo continual upgrading.
The Villa's park, entirely covered by a protected wireless network, the gym and the canteen complete the features of this campus, where participants find dedicated facilities and ample structures, designed to facilitate the learning processes.
