Inholland University of Applied Sciences is an ambitious institution of higher education in the western part of the Netherlands. Its vibrant learning and working community and particularly its scale is ideal for students who are keen to develop their theoretical knowledge as well as their practical skills. Offering competence-based learning, Inholland University of Applied Sciences is professionally involved both with the student, the market and society as a whole.
In order to develop the quality of all higher education programmes offered by Inholland it has many strategic cooperation agreements with educational institutions both within the Netherlands and with more than 60 universities and higher education institutions abroad. The campus sites all have excellent ICT facilities and state-of-the-art purpose built accommodation. A large number of lectors conduct applied research in a range of fields.
An increasing number of Inholland graduates are now working for international organisations. The best way to prepare students for their future careers in such an international environment is to familiarise them with it during their degree programme. Every year some 450 Inholland students go on an exchange to one of the 60 universities we have cooperation agreements with. Another 450 foreign students are warmly welcomed on their exchange at Inholland.
But internationalisation at Inholland is much more than that. Where possible, an international dimension is added to the content of the degree programmes offered by Inholland. Working together with institutions and organisations in more than 35 countries is a crucial element of this internationalisation process.
The number of students with foreign secondary education qualifications enrolling at Inholland ranges from 2% to 18% depending on the subject of the degree programme.

The Inholland campus in The Hague has many facilities: a good-quality restaurant, a beautiful garden, a library, various places to work and study either alone or with other students, a quiet room and modern computer workstations. Theres even a temping agency for students. Inholland has extensive, up-to-date ICT facilities, enabling you to complete your assignments on-site or at home, and it has its own student association organising many different activities for you throughout the year.
The building is located nearby the train station of ´Den Haag Centraal´ (7 minutes walk) and is accessible for people in wheelchairs.
A unique feature is 'De Ooievaar', a reconstructed historic coffee bar, which brings the history of The Hague back to life.
Inholland The Hague is located within 7 minutes walking distance from the Den Haag Centraal railway station. Arriving by car is easy, but free parking is very limited and a long-term paid parking spot can be difficult to find in the center of The Hague. Biking is usually the cheapest, quickest and best option in the busy city.
Inholland has facilities to support students such as the library, IT service and help desk, restaurant, garden, copy and printing facilities and a student job placement agency all inside the building. The Hague location also has its own student association organising many different activities throughout the year.
Inholland The Hague runs a multimedia library with areas for studying and working together on projects. For the international student, the library offers English language textbooks, support materials, background reading, reference books, international magazines and newspapers, specialist and professional journals, videos, DVDs and CD-ROMs. Students can also search and reserve books and media from other Inholland locations through the library's computer network.
Inholland University of Applied Sciences has in-house bookstores. Not only do they sell textbooks, readers and other study material, but also fiction, magazines and newspapers.
Inholland University of Applied Sciences has a store where you can print your documents and make photocopies. You can simply use your student card to make the payment. You can also use the photocopiers on each floor of your School.
Inholland has numerous computers and computer rooms on every floor and throughout the building. Each student has a school account with a login ID and email address. With an Inholland school account, students have access to information on courses, exam schedules, timetables, meeting room reservations and more. The schools intranet and Blackboard connect students with staff, project groups, study groups and help students stay up-to-date on all school news and activities.
The best places for going out in The Hague are near the 'Grote Markt', 'Plaats', 'Plein' and 'Buitenhof'. There are many bars and restaurants in other squares too. There are excellent nightclubs and music halls such as 'Het Paard' for popular music in The Hague.
Inholland The Hague has its own student lounge bar TREES. TREES is on the ground floor of the student hall of residence next to the building of Inholland The Hague. ESN ESN is an international student organization whose mission is to encourage mobility in higher education under the principle "Students Helping Students". Besides organizing the Mentor System, ESN can give you support before and after your arrival. They will help you to integrate in the new country and community by organizing socio-cultural activities, sports activities and workshops aimed at the exchange and international students.
The organisation ESN Inholland represents international students and provides opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development under the principle of "Students Helping Students".
Besides offering a mentor system, ESN gives support before and after your arrival which can help you quickly integrate in your new country, school and community. ESN organises socio-cultural activities, sports activities and workshops aimed at building connections with exchange and international students.
