CQUniversity Australia has a unique and interesting history. The University was originally founded in Rockhampton in 1967 and was known as the Queensland Institute of Technology (Capricornia). By 1974 it was among only a few Australian institutes to commence the delivery of distance education.

It provides a relaxed and friendly environment where you can ask questions and seek support for your academic assessment tasks and English language support. The academic support team also provides a range of printed and online resources to further help you meet the demands of your academic program.
International Students studying at CQUniversity can choose from a variety of accommodation options including: on-campus accommodation at selected campuses, homestay or renting an apartment or a house.

DIBP requires that international students on student visas have Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of their studies. This means that the OSHC insurance must commence from the date you arrive in Australia on a student visa and must be in effect until you leave Australia or move to a non-student visa subclass.
