All Departments and Institutes at Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences conduct research that is interdisciplinary and practice-based in nature and international in scope. All Departments collaborate closely with one another, and we are continuing to expand our collaboration with other universities of applied sciences both in Germany and abroad.
The primary function of the Career Center is to support students during their studies and in the transition from university to employment in all aspects of seeking and applying for employment, and with the acquisition of key skills. The free services of the Career Center are open to all students in all semesters who wish to apply for a permanent post after their studies, for work placements, or for final dissertations at other higher education institutions.

The library system of the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences provides all literature required for teaching, study and research at the university. This literature is available in printed and electronic form for use or lending on the premises or online. The library also assists users in searching for information in its various research systems, i.e. the library catalogue (OPAC).
The Computer Centre can help you with any questions you may have about using the IT facilities and equipment; the help desk has been set up on the Weihenstephan and Triesdorf campuses to make this easier. Our 6,300 students live and study on the largest green campus in Germany, made up of the Weihenstephan and the Triesdorf campuses. Our outstanding learning facilities include show gardens, pilot plants, laboratories, and a biotechnology centre. We work actively to preserve natural resources and ensure long-term competitiveness. We foster our students to become responsible engineers, and equip them with a first-class education with which to face the national and international employment market.
The winner of the competition for the new building of the Sports and Health Sciences department and the University Sports Center facilities on the TUM campus in Olympiapark has been decided. The vast majority of jurors chose a team from Bregenz, Austria. And the winner is… the architecture firm Dietrich Untertrifaller in collaboration with Balliana Schubert Landschaftsarchitekten AG (landscape architects).
Students participate in the running of the university through their elected representatives in the various bodies of the university. The role of the Student Council and the Representative Committee is to represent the academic, financial, and social interests of the students at the university. The student representatives within each department form the Departmental Student Councils.
