History

The University of Humanities and Economics in Lodz was established in 1993. It is the largest non-public institution of higher education in Poland.

Education

The University has more than 20 faculties and offers a wide choice of subjects, including 3 courses in English (see Study in English). Students can choose to study any of over 100 courses. The curricula of the courses are constantly updated according to market demands. In accordance with the requirements of the European Educational Standards the AHE in Lodz implements a new paradigm of education, which is characterized by: new methods, new content, new teaching staff.

The Career Office of the University of Humanities and Economics in Lodz is a modern diagnostic advisory facility which was founded with students and graduates of UHE in mind.

Student services

Library services

The collection of the library includes over 51000 volumes. Aside from academic books and background papers from various fields of knowledge, it is worth mentioning the following: film collection (250 DVDs), extensive information resources (encyclopedias, lexicons, atlases, dictionaries), collection of global publications in the field of art as well as English and German literature classics.

ICT services

  • The university campus provides free wi-fi 
  • Technological Incubator ARTERION is an innovative idea combining the concept of support for newlycreated companies as well as popularization and application of cuttingedge digital technologies (media, IT, research, project).

Medical services

The Renoma Medical Center renders free medical services in the field of basic medical care (pediatrics, internal medicine), as well as outpatient specialized care and doctor consultations.

Campus life

The campus of the University is located in the center of the city with full access to cultural entertainments, shops and travelling facilities.

Sports facilities

The Center of Sports and Active Recreation renders services in the field of organization of sports and recreational classes for various age groups and at every level of advancement. It also offers classes for organized groups, sports events and trips, trainings, courses and camps. Participants of the classes may use the services of qualified and experienced instructors and trainers. Priorities of the Center of Sports and Active Recreation include individual approach to the customer, safety and friendly atmosphere. The Center is located near to the main University campus.

Student clubs

Student government is a dynamic organization of active students of all faculties and modes. It organizes events and competitions, but also offers help in solving student problems. It is the place of integration of students and earning first experience in organization structure.
