About

History

  • 1969 | Cornerstone - Professors at five universities of applied sciences in Baden-Württemberg found the first Technical Consulting Services (TCS) as contacts for small and medium-sized enterprises.
  • 1971 - Establishing of the Foundation

Research

The Steinbeis system dovetails neatly with research establishments, universities and universities of applied sciences. This is because the majority of our transfer enterprises are managed by professors who have set themselves the goal of sharing the results of research so that they can also be applied discernibly to business.

Pivotal to the success of Steinbeis transfer are also the directors involved purely in front-line implementation. Working through their own resources or in collaboration with other experts, these directors solve problems based on scientifically sound practices and pragmatism.

ICT services

At the core of the Steinbeis Network there are three defining characteristics that are pivotal to the success of the entire organization: a philosophy of decentralized operations under a centralized framework, corresponding flat hierarchies, and the entrepreneurial principle of businesses within the business.

Accreditation

The Steinbeis University and its Bachelors and Masters degrees is officially recognized by the Science Senate of the State of Berlin. The University has the same rights as other public universities: Examining the students on its degree courses and awarding academic degrees with all relevant certificates.
