The University's international support team runs a welcome programme each year which covers all the basics of living in the UK.This includes talks on UK life, campus tours and help with tasks such as opening a bank account or registering with a doctor, as well as social events.University room rents cover your private study bedroom, utility bills, insurance for your belongings, broadband and use of communal areas.

Housing services

The University of Liverpool has over 4500 student rooms, in our popular student villages and on campus residences.Staying with us gives you the perfect base for studying and enjoying everything the University and city have to offer.Our residences provide more than a place to sleep. They are lively, friendly communities with great facilities ranging from cafés to libraries.

Library services

The Harold Cohen Library is on Ashton Street. The Harold Cohen Library is the main library for science, engineering, medical, dental and veterinary sciences. The Sydney Jones Library is on Chatham Street. The Sydney Jones Library is the main library for arts, humanities, law and social and environmental studies.

Student Life

Campus life

Our main university campus is in Liverpool city centre. Most of Veterinary Science is based in Leahurst on the Wirral. Carnatic and Greenbank halls of residence are about three miles from the city centre.

With art museums, numerous theatres, a thriving music scene and two major football clubs, Liverpool has plenty to offer. Shopping, eating, relaxing and nightlife, Liverpool is at the forefront of entertainment.
