In addition to providing services to the international students, the OIA takes care of J-1 Exchange Visitors including Inbound exchange students, professors, and scholars.

Residential Life and Housing hopes that the following pages will give you a better understanding of the kinds of services we provide for our students living on campus. Pratt Institute maintains six residence halls and 13 townhouses accommodating approximately 1,700 students.

Medical services

The medical services at Pratt Health and Counseling are provided without additional charge to all students, regardless of insurance coverage, although students are responsible for lab fees not covered by their insurance.

Student Life

Campus life

Pratt offers a variety of living options for students. Explore our halls, available options and costs, read our on-campus living guide and learn what amenities await you. All Pratt residence halls are co-ed; male and female residents share the same floors and living community. Our halls are staffed with professional, paraprofessional and student staff who are available to students who need assistance and to create an environment in the halls that promotes student learning and development, complementing and enhancing the Pratt experience.

Sports facilities

Pratt Athletics values the lessons that have long been taught by athletic participation: the pursuit of excellence through personal development and teamwork; ethical and responsible behavior on the field and off; adherence to the spirit of rules as well as to their letter; leadership and strength of character; sportsmanship, respect for one's opponents, acceptance of victory with humility, acknowledgment of defeat with grace, respect for the value of cross-cultural understanding, and acceptance. Within these lessons to its students, Pratt Athletics instills habits that will lead students to better, healthier, and successful lives.
