About

History

Dr. “Pat” Robertson had an inspired vision of establishing a graduate-level institution that would train capable men and women for the challenge of representing Christ in their professions. In 1977,his vision materialized - a 70-acre parcel of land in Virginia Beach was cleared,the foundation was poured for the university’s first building, and an institution was incorporated as “CBN University.”

Special Collections & Archives has been an integral part of the Regent Community and Regent University Library. It is the home for objects relevant to Regent’s history, culture, and academic scholarship. It continues to acquire, organize and preserve a treasure trove of unique primary research materials and rare and meaningful resources for scholars and researchers on campus and around the world.

The Information Technology Help Desk is pleased to announce expanded Blackboard Support. Regent University has partnered with Blackboard Support Services to provide Students, Faculty, and Staff with 24/7 expert support for Blackboard.

Student Life

Campus life

Living on campus is a positive, safe and engaging experience at Regent. Students enjoy community-building activities with their hall mates, facilitated by Resident Assistants (RAs), participate in weekly Life Group meetings, and learn how to live as part of a greater community. Regent offers two housing options to fit your needs: Regent Commons and Regent Village.

Sports facilities

All Regent University students can use The Founders Inn and Spa’s outdoor recreational facilities, including tennis courts, a basketball court and a sand volleyball court. Courts will be available for student use daily from approximately 8:00 a.m.-sundown. (Courts will still be available to Founders Inn guests, so availability is on a first-come, first-served basis with hotel guests having priority.) Students should provide their own equipment—basketballs, volleyballs, and tennis rackets/tennis balls.
