About

History

The UW-Green Bay Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization that was established in May 2011 to give the University greater flexibility in managing gifts and assets and to provide a more powerful framework for advancing institutional interests. All private giving falls under the Foundation umbrella.

Education

The University enriches the quality of life for students and the community by embracing the educational value of diversity, promoting environmental sustainability, encouraging engaged citizenship, and serving as an intellectual, cultural and economic resource.

Research

The Office of Grants and Research (OGR) advises and assists members of the UW-Green Bay Community who are engaged in scholarly and creative activities. The services of the OGR are similar to the Sponsored Research or Sponsored Programs office provided at other universities.

Housing services

Our mission is to provide a residential environment in which staff and services promote student development within a comprehensive living experience. We offer a varied selection of rooms and apartments. We are committed to planning fun and enriching events. 

Library services

The Cofrin Library advances the UW – Green Bay mission of teaching, research, and service by providing services and resources to meet the needs of its community and by serving as an intellectual and cultural asset for both the University and Northeast Wisconsin.

Medical services

Our center offers on-campus behavioral health services including; free 1:1 counseling services by licensed professional counselors and limited Psychiatrist services. Additionally our clinical services include free RN assessments, limited Physician/Nurse Practitioner visits through contracted community providers for a fee or as covered by the Family Planning Services program.

Student Life

Campus life

Students who live on campus enjoy safe, conveniently located housing at an affordable price which includes the cost of all utilities, high-definition cable television service, and both wired and wireless high-speed Internet access in every room. Living on campus also means being able to take advantage of a variety of programs, services, and leadership involvement opportunities that contribute much to the UW-Green Bay experience.

Sports facilities

The Recreation and Athletics Committee is committed to making Athletics and Active Lifestyles a major part of campus life UW-Green Bay. Currently the Committee’s main goals include working with Facilities Management to ensure a smooth transition between the Phoenix Sports Center and the Kress Events Center, creating intramural programs that students want to see on campus, and getting student-athletes to become more a part of the general student body. The Recreation and Athletics Committee is constantly looking for student input and ideas.

Student clubs

Involvement in campus organizations is an important part of UW-Green Bay's total educational program. Student groups offer social, service, and professional opportunities for their members within the university and in the community. Membership can help you to meet people, develop leadership abilities, build decision-making and problem-solving skills, and use what you’re learning in the classroom.

Accreditation

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay holds a full 10-year accreditation (2007-2017) from the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
