Oregon Institute of Technology is the only public institute of technology in the Pacific Northwest. It has successfully evolved through several stages since its beginning in 1947 – first, as a vocational rehabilitation school for World War II veterans known as Oregon Vocational School; then as a regionally-accredited institution, known as Oregon Technical Institute, offering associate degree programs; then as a four-year technical school known as Oregon Institute of Technology.
For nearly 70 years, Oregon Institute of Technology (Oregon Tech) has focused on changing the lives of Oregonians by preparing them to meet the technical and management needs of business, industry and healthcare agencies
Our individualized and applied approach to teaching, which blends theory and practice, is the main reason our alumni are so avidly recruited. Whether they study software engineering, vascular technology, management, or dental hygiene, Oregon Tech students have amazing opportunities to apply what they learn in lab-based classes, clinics, externships and workplaces. This practical focus is reinforced in the classroom by instructors who come to Oregon Tech with relevant business, industrial, or clinical experience.
Career Services serves students and alumni, faculty/staff members, and employers. We help students and alumni develop and advance their careers, partner with faculty and staff to educate students about career development, and help employers connect with workforce-ready Oregon Tech talent:
The Office of Housing and Residence Life strives to build an on-campus community that promotes academic success and fosters personal growth. The Residence Life program is designed to augment the formal experience of the classroom and laboratory, while providing opportunities for residents to meet others from diverse backgrounds and cultures, and to develop a sense of community within the Residence Halls.
The Integrated Student Health Center, located at the main campus in Klamath Falls, provides general medical care for illnesses and accidents, medical referral, counseling and wellness programs.Mission
The mission of the Oregon Tech Integrated Student Health Center is to support students by providing tools which encourage them to be knowledgeable about and actively invested in the benefits of self-care and choosing well to maintain their physical and emotional wellness.
Each year more and more campus clubs are formed by Oregon Tech students. There are many student clubs to choose from. Campus clubs operate on a voluntary basis and are a great way to meet people, develop a skill, improve your resume, and so much more!
