Greenwich School of Management is an independent management school with two campuses, one based in the beautiful historic town of Greenwich near the heart of London, UK and the other, due to open on October 2012, in Greenford.

Our Greenwich campus is located in the heart of historic Greenwich, perfectly placed within ten minutes of central London and ten minutes from Canary Wharf, one of the most important business districts in the world. GSoM occupies a fine Art Deco building with a landmark 180 ft clock tower.
The School prides itself on its personal, tight-knit, caring and friendly ambience. By day, the School has a mix of full-time UK, EU and international students whilst our extensive part-time evening classes attract local City of London based managers as well as students who aspire to similar roles. We also offer weekend programmes for our executive students, typically high flying, high achieving fast trackers occupying top management posts

The Lord Harris Library Our multimedia library is at the centre of learning and research at the Greenwich School of Management. We meet the needs of our students with a wide range of services, both in print and online.
We constantly review the collection and our facilities to ensure we have up-to-date information and to give our students a high quality learning environment.
Library resources Students can visit the library to browse our books, journals, magazines and annual reports. They can work on our computers, collaborate on projects in our Group Room or catch up on the daily newspapers in our study area.
In addition to the library PCs, which are available for any GSoM student, we provide wifi internet access to allow students to use their own laptops.
E-resourcesWe provide access to a number of online databases, and a growing library of e-books. These resources can be used either on campus or from home via Athens.
The databases include Fame for company information, Business Source Complete for business journal articles, and Mintel which offers market research and analysis.
GSoM understands how important it is that students have good quality, conveniently located accommodation whilst studying at the School. The School has an Accommodation Officer who can advise our students on how to find suitable accommodation that suits their lifestyle and their budget.
The Accommodation Officer will help source a wealth of different types of accommodation ranging from inspected private accommodation; studios and flats at the student village and places at local host-family homes.
Costs of living in Greenwich
Most students request their own room and share a kitchen and bathroom facilities with other members of the household. Close to the college, the price for a room would be in excess of £125.00 per week inclusive of bills. Rooms outside Greenwich are a little cheaper, but bus and train fares then have to be considered.
Flats in the area (when available) are in excess of £200.00 per week plus bills for a one bedroom apartment. It must be recognised that flats are in relatively short supply and frequently require a large deposit to secure in advance, together with references. Please note that you may be requested to pay 6 months rent in advance plus 6 weeks rent deposit. If you have a UK based guarantor then you may be able to pay monthly.
International Students are advised to take temporary accommodation upon arrival in London and make more permanent living arrangements during this initial period. Maria King of Hospitality London specializes in short term and short notice accommodation.
We advise all students arriving from overseas to bring travellers cheques or sterling cash where possible as it can take quite a time to open a bank account.
You may wish to book an Airport Taxi service to meet you on arrival. The price is £60.00 including 45 minutes initial waiting time and £20.00 per hour thereafter. To book a Taxi from the Airport we must have a date and a time of arrival and your flight number.
Booking and selecting your accommodation
Accommodation can be arranged either during your Induction period or on your arrival at the school for enrolment prior to commencement of your course.
The Student Village
The student village is a popular choice of accommodation of our students. It is a new development opened in September 2004 and is located just a short walk from the School. It features contemporary, well-designed en-suite student accommodation in a safe and comfortable community.
There is a choice of either single, double or twin occupancy en suite studio apartments with private kitchen facilities or en suite bedrooms organised into cluster flats with communal kitchen/dining areas, all with modern furnishings and fresh, relaxing colours. There are also a number of rooms with facilities equipped for disabled students.
Many students opt to rent in the local area. Our Accommodation Officer can assist you in finding an appropriate place to stay either singly or with other students in flats and houses within a budget that suits you. Private accommodation prices start at £85 per week, plus share of bills. We work with local landlords and agents to find suitable properties for our students and welcome introductions.
Often students elect to stay with host-families; living as a member of the family. Meals are supplied as is laundry and cleaning. The home-stay prices start at £130 per week.
Many organisations offer scholarships or grants. Some of these might help you to study for a Master at Greenwich School of Management!
Together with the ISIC Association and British Council IELTS we offer you the chance to receive up to £10000 to expand your horizon and study abroad. We want to ultimately encourage you to study abroad in order to experience and explore new countries, cultures and languages.
