A unique blend of Liberal Arts and professionally-oriented study.
You will enjoy a curriculum that brings together the best of deep learning in the liberal arts (critical thinking, decision making, historical imagination) with the practical hands-on skills of applied, professionally oriented training. Rather than having to choose between intellectual development and career, you graduate with an education that is both intellectually captivating and professionally enabling, preparing you equally for graduate school or a meaningful career.
An American curriculum in an international setting.
Unique in France, AUP offers the flexibility of an American curriculum that encourages you to explore the whole range of humanities, social science, and professional disciplines before choosing a major, encouraging full access to the whole curriculumfrom poetry to political science and history to marketing. This range allows students to find their passion and to prepare for their future.

Students entering with Advanced Placement Exams, an International Baccalaureat, a French Bac, an Abitur or Maturitat, are able to graduate in three yearsor stay for a fourth year and leave with one of our interdisciplinary Masters degrees.
Unique Graduate Programs.
Our one- and two-year Masters programs combine theoretical approaches and hands-on simulations, applications, and group projects designed by professionals in the field.
Paris is our classroom.
An urban university spread out under the Eiffel Tower, AUP treats the capital city of Paris as its classroom. As an AUP student you will stand in front of the paintings you are studying at the Louvre; discover Paris through its architecture and film; and put your fingers on the pulse of the latest developments in communications, literature, international politics, and media.
An American-style co-curriculum.
Extra-curricular activities include clubs, athletics, musicals and plays, student journals, student government, and cultural programs. We also have an art gallery, center for writers & translators, and an international Arts Arena.

The opportunity to live in Paris, immersing yourself in a new culture, becoming part of a Parisian neighborhood, interacting daily with your neighbors, landlord, the shopkeepers, etc. is a fundamental part of the educational experience at AUP.
The AUP Housing Office assists students in finding comfortable and affordable accommodations within easy commuting distance from school. Most students are housed during the first three days of Orientation after they meet with a Housing Advisor who takes into consideration their personal requirements, interests, and budget.
Students live in various parts of the city in Independent Rooms or with French families or landlords or in a student residence rather than on campus.
The Housing Office also will aid students who have been at AUP at least one year in finding studios or larger apartments.
The Housing Office is open year round and available to assist students with any housing issues they encounter throughout the school year. Whenever necessary, the Housing staff often acts as an intermediary between students and their landlords.
