IBS has approximately 170 teachers (134.98 FTE) distributed throughout its six Departments: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Operations and Management, Quantitative Methods for Management and Economics, and Human Resources and Organisational Behaviour.
More than 3,200 students are currently enrolled in the 6 Undergraduate Programmes and 12 Masters Programmes offered by the school.
IBS is one of four schools that constitute University ISCTE-IUL, along with the School of Sociology and Public Policy, School of Social Sciences and Humanities and the School of Technology and Architecture.

The Agency of Evaluation and Accreditation in Higher Education (A3ES) evaluates and accredits Portuguese higher education institutions and their programmes.
EUA is an Association of European Universities that supports and represents higher education institutions in 46 countries. Its members are higher education institutions, Deans associations and other organisations with an active role in higher education and research.
Our Executive MBA has received accreditation from AMBA, the Association of MBAs. The Executive MBA of ISCTE Business School is the only EMBA in Portugal that has been granted the prestigious MBA accreditation from AMBA - Association of MBAs.
ISCTE is strategically located in the centre of Lisbon. It is directly served by a subway station and a number of convenient city buses that provide fast and easy access to almost everywhere in the city. There are a number of hotels within walking distance as well as restaurants, shops and one of Lisbon's largest sports and recreational facilities. The airport is a ten-minute drive away.
Though located in the heart of Portugal's capital, the ISCTE campus offers a peaceful atmosphere with plenty of fresh air and open space. The facilities include four buildings (45,000 m2), one of which is the "Edifício II", which was inaugurated in 2003 and awarded the Valmor Prize, Portugal's foremost award for architectural excellence.
ISCTE Business School (IBS) has a dedicated building for graduate education where the classes take place. Ultra-modern and fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology, this centre has several study rooms, computer labs, recreational areas, a restaurant, a permanent art gallery, and a modern documentation centre. Our documentation centre can boast of more than 3,000 monographic titles, 170 scientific magazines and generic databases such as Proquest, Web of Knowledge, JSTOR - and financial-oriented databases - Bloomberg, Reuters, Datastream, Worldscope, Compustat, CRSP, to which all students have free access. ISCTE has also recently subscribed to Wharton's Research Data Services (WRDS), a comprehensive, breakthrough, web-based data management system that allows faculty and students to retrieve information easily from a wide variety of financial, economic and marketing data sources without actually having to be within the physical space of the Library or the Documentation Centre. Our School is one of the few in Europe to have WRDS. The documentation centre provides the following services: assisted research, local reading, home borrowing and use of laptops.
The main library is a state-of-the-art facility that offers every service imaginable in a full-service bibliographic facility. In addition, PhD students have access to dedicated areas that include individual workstations and meeting rooms.Furthermore, each student has free access to all areas of the campus, and can feel free to take advantage of all the study, recreational and catering facilities available. The ISCTEs Students Association «Associação de Estudantes do ISCTE AEISCTE» is an autonomous organization held by the students of ISCTE. Its mission is to socially and culturally complement the students academic life while they are with the ISCTE.
In the Association headquarters, located in the ISCTE main building, you will be able to find information about events held not only in Lisbon, but also in other cities of Portugal. There, you can also find leaflets about concerts, performing arts and movie festivals that take place in Lisbon, and much more
There is a students counselling office which could provide some help for any individual problem, not only concerning the student life but also the private life too.
To be a member of AEISCTE, all you have to do it is apply for. Afterwards you will receive the Membership Card. The enrolment costs 5 euro, and you need to hand over 2 pictures of yours.

IBS provides its students with a great environment to learn as well as opportunities to relax and take a break from your studies. As well as the auditoriums and classrooms where you will take your classes we have many private and group study rooms which can be reserved. The campus also houses five café/bars, two restaurants and many spaces to relax in. Wi-Fi internet is available, to IBS , throughout the campus.
