Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf is one of the younger higher education institutions in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia – founded in 1965.
About 30,000 students and 1,700 teaching staff in five faculties benefit from the proximity of the institutions since all of them are located on a single campus. This allows for an open exchange contributing to the development of modern and interdisciplinary studies and creating synergies between research and teaching.
Our five faculties offer 50 different study sections. Next to a wide range of subjects in the fields of medicine, humanities, natural science, law, and economics we offer many interdisciplinary and postgraduate courses. Currently, the following degrees can be obtained: Bachelor, Master, State Examination (Staatsexamen) and the doctoral degree/PhD.
