Coventry University is a forward-looking modern university whose roots can be traced back to 1843 to the Coventry School of Design. With a proud tradition as a provider of high quality education and a focus on multidisciplinary research, the University has established a robust academic presence regionally, nationally and across the world.
In recent years Coventry has seen a dramatic improvement in its positions in every major university league table, and student satisfaction levels have risen significantly to cement the institution’s position as the leading modern university in the country – as recognised by the Guardian University Guide 2015 and the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide, which voted Coventry ‘Modern University of the Year’ 2014. The University consistently scores well in the teaching quality category of the National Student Survey, with over 92% of students surveyed in 2013 agreeing that tutors and lecturers are “enthusiastic about what they are teaching” and are “good at explaining things”.
