Services

Student services

Whether you are coming to the UK for the first time for a short period or you have visited before, the International Student Support Office can help you with your planning. Preparing for a long trip usually involves lots of planning and lots of lists!

Housing services

The University has a very wide range of good-quality accommodation, from catered halls of residence for undergraduate students (where food is provided) to self-catered accommodation for undergraduates and postgraduates. All accommodation is within easy walking distance of the city centre and campus facilities.

A number of students, especially those with families, prefer to live in private rental accommodation close to the University. Please note that this can take time to arrange and it may be difficult find a suitable place directly from overseas. Landlords often require references and a substantial deposit.

Library services

Library and Culture Services is part of Education and Student Experience and includes two groups of staff:

  • LRS is a member of Research Libraries UK and has a confident future developing learning opportunities and enabling research.
  • Arts and Culture teams are responsible for University's arts programmes and activities for students, staff and the public in support of education and research.

Student Life

Campus life

  • Streatham Campus, Exeter: A registered botanic garden, described by The Times as the 'best-gardened campus in Britain' and by The Independent as having a 'sublime' setting, its lakes, parkland, woodland and gardens with many rare species of plants and trees make it a very special place that offers a safe and enjoyable environment for study.
  • St Luke's Campus, Exeter: St Luke's has retained a vibrant, collegiate atmosphere. Walk through the arches of the traditional North Cloisters and you will see the lawns of the quadrangle surrounded by modern teaching buildings, including the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry building.
  • Our Cornwall campuses: No other university in the country beats our Penryn Campuus.

Sports facilities

The University of Exeter is home to some of the best sports facilities in the South West. We are dedicated to providing an excellent sporting experience to players at all levels from across the community.
