The Erasmus School of Social and Behavioural Sciences is home to a vast diversity of scientific disciplines: public administration, pedagogical sciences, psychology and sociology. Our activities are based on high-quality, internationally oriented research and are strongly focused on people and society. Furthermore, we collaborate closely with our environment by making our work accessible for professionals, policy makers, and society.

Campus life

The hub of Erasmus University Rotterdam is our Woudestein campus, a convenient 15-minute bike ride from Rotterdam’s city centre, including the sleek new Rotterdam Centraal train station (where you can also catch the tram or metro to EUR.) Outside of class time, students study in the light-filled new Polak building or at our state-of-the-art university library, grab a coffee at the Erasmus Food Plaza, or attend an event at the theatre or Café in de Smitse.

Sports facilities

The Erasmus Sports Centre, located on campus, offers over 50 sports, available on all levels. The Center organizes sport events, tournaments, and internal competitions, personal training and body fit courses run by certified trainers. The Sport Center is open 7 days per week.

Student clubs

Rotterdam has a number of different student associations. These associations are somewhat comparable to fraternities and sororities. These associations all have their own personality and identity and if you decide to become a member you can meet many different people of different ages, studies and backgrounds. The RKVV (Rotterdamse Kamer van Verenigingen, Rotterdam Chamber of Associations) is the link between the associations and the university. Seven associations joined the RKVV. Every association has her own unique view on student life.
