IADT is unique. Irelandís only institute of art, design and technology with a specific focus on the creative cultural and technological sectors, when you visit IADT youíll discover a campus alive with ideas, innovation and entrepreneurial activity.



IADT as we now know it came into being in 2012, when three existing Schools were amalgamated to become two Faculties: the Faculty of Enterprise + Humanities, and the Faculty of Film, Art + Creative Technologies.


Most research at IADT is conducted within our Faculties of Enterprise + Humanities and Film, Art + Creative Technologies, where many of the academic staff have significant research profiles.

Student services

We provide training, information and support to students with disabilities and specific learning difficulties. This includes the allocation of and training on Assistive Technology hardware and software, and advice on up-to-date solutions and new developments .

Library services

The library is located on two floors in the Atrium building. With the virtual library service available 24/7 on campus or from home, you can access our electronic resources, online catalogue, eBooks and databases. The library has developed a series of course specific Wikis hosting online tutorials and self study material which are designed to assist with learning.

Medical services

We provide the best possible general medical and nursing care.

Efficient, effective and courteous, our high quality service is open to all. A doctor is available three sessions a week to see students requiring medical assistance.
