Our main campus is in historic Canterbury; well-known as a city-break destination. The campus is set in parkland, within easy walking distance of the city centre. Canterbury is 56 minutes by train to London, and 2.5 hours to Paris.
The Medway campus is urban with a maritime heritage, close to the towns of Rochester, Chatham and Gillingham in North Kent. The campus is known for its excellent facilities, award-winning buildings and lively, vibrant community and social life. Medway is 40 minutes by train to London and 75 minutes by train to the Channel ports.
The UK is a popular place to study, and KBS is particularly well-located in South-East England. Our campus is in the historic and beautiful city of Canterbury; well-known as a city-break destination for art, culture, history, restaurants and night-life. The campus itself is set in woodlands, and is walking distance from Canterbury city centre. Canterbury is 56 minutes by train to London, and 2.5 hours to Paris. Public transport is easily available and reliable.
In the Research Excellence Framework2 (REF) 2014, business and management at Kent was ranked 25th for research intensity in the UK. An impressive 98% of our research was judged to be of international quality with 67% being ‘world-leading’ or ‘internationally excellent’. The School was also ranked 24th for its breadth and depth of research across the whole community of research active staff. We host many externally funded research projects with high profile partners. Recent and current examples include the Economic and Social Research Council, the World Bank and the European Commission.

The Medical Centre is an NHS general practice based on the University of Kent Canterbury Campus. The practice is open to all students at the Canterbury Campus living within a six mile radius.
