The University of Northampton has a long and proud history in providing quality education across many disciplines. It has evolved from the beginning of the 20th century from a group of teaching facilities, to a college, to being awarded awarded formal university status in 2005 and continues to go from strength to strength.
We offer a wide range of courses including foundation degrees, higher national diplomas (HNDs), undergraduate degrees (BA or BSc), postgraduate (MA or MSc), research degrees, professional qualifications, short courses and corporate training programmes. With an extensive range of study options and combinations to choose from, you can be sure you'll find the right course for you.
Through our research we explore the way the world works, then try to make it better.
We throw a spotlight on the ways we can all improve society, and how we can make a positive difference to people’s lives and their environment.
But all this work doesn’t go on behind closed doors. Our research is fed straight through to our students because we get our undergraduates involved in the process – designing and running experiments, gathering data, and working within the community. Our research influences policy for governments and organisations across the globe, and you can play a part in that before you even collect your degree.
For five years running, 95 per cent of University of Northampton students are in work or further study six months after graduation.*
How do we achieve such high figures? By giving you practical experience and contacts in your field. By having teaching staff who can strengthen your employment prospects through their expertise and guidance. And by offering you the chance to develop the crucial skills needed to stand out in a competitive employment market through engagement with work experience, community involvement and Changemaking activities.
