Created in 1898, our history, our values and our commitments represent nearly 110 years of experience and development. The educational leadership was initially entrusted to the Jesuits (until the 1970s).
Thanks to our teaching methods, our graduates are considered to be more curious and more responsive than others, able to quickly adapt to the business world, effectively identify global challenges and seize opportunities in an international context.
ESA promotes multidisciplinary, mission-oriented research to enhance our areas of expertise, our study programs and our international status. Five Research Units, one Study Center, 100 faculty members, including 45 teacher-researchers, conduct research to design sustainable agriculture and food systems.
Support services are offered from day 1 at ESA, tailored to different types of students, individually or in groups.
New students are greeted by study program heads, with explanations on the academic programs, school tours, study guides and more, and by the BDE (Student Activities Office).
Many organisations offer scholarships or grants. Some of these might help you to study for a Master at Groupe ESA - École Supérieure D'Agriculture D'Angers!
Since ESA has been taking in up to 300 international students per year (about 10% of its total), our 19 strong international team has acquired ‘a certain experience’ and is happy to answer your questions and guide you in the choice of the classes you attend, and other matters.
We offer to find lodging for you before your arrival, taking into consideration your wishes, but within the limit of what’s possible.

With its distance learning center and thanks to the support of the Pays de la Loire Regional Council in the development of digital resources, ESA began developing its first digital services fifteen years ago. Digital services are now available to all ESA students, whether or not they are engaged in a distance learning program, and ESA has developed a digital work environment.
With some thirty clubs, ESA boasts strong community involvement. There is a wide range of clubs and activities on campus, coordinated by the Student Activities Office (Bureau des Etudiants: BDE).
Composed of students from different classes, the BDE and the clubs strengthen ties and solidarity among students and reflect the “ESA spirit.” Through the Student Activities Office and the clubs, everyone can find a way to be part of the school community.
Together with the ISIC Association and British Council IELTS, StudyPortals offers you the chance to receive up to £10000 to expand your horizon and study abroad. We want to ultimately encourage you to study abroad in order to experience and explore new countries, cultures and languages.
