Groupe ESA - cole Suprieure D'Agriculture D'Angers

Angers, France
With its 2,630 students, ESA is the largest institute of higher education for life sciences in France. It offers a wide range of courses in 10 major sectors of activity : farming, food, landscape management, environment, horticulture, viticulture, retailing, trade, agribusiness management and town & country planning.

Created in 1898, our history, our values and our commitments represent nearly 110 years of experience and development. The educational leadership was initially entrusted to the Jesuits (until the 1970s).

Thanks to our teaching methods, our graduates are considered to be more curious and more responsive than others, able to quickly adapt to the business world, effectively identify global challenges and seize opportunities in an international context.

ESA promotes multidisciplinary, mission-oriented research to enhance our areas of expertise, our study programs and our international status. Five Research Units, one Study Center, 100 faculty members, including 45 teacher-researchers, conduct research to design sustainable agriculture and food systems.

Support services are offered from day 1 at ESA, tailored to different types of students, individually or in groups.

New students are greeted by study program heads, with explanations on the academic programs, school tours, study guides and more, and by the BDE (Student Activities Office).

  • Close monitoring of students in groups by a program head, the main contact for academic issues (advice in case of problems, tutoring or supervised study periods to help students improve their time management and study skills).
  • Personalized support for new students
