The IT University of Copenhagen offers a high-quality academic environment in which students of different nationalities and cultural backgrounds are trained to work in an international environment.
The IT University is creating more IT graduates than any other university in Denmark and offers a variety of research based study programmes within the field of IT. From games and communication to business and software development. With our multidisciplinary approach to IT, the student body at the IT University is a great mix of students with various national and educational backgrounds.
Currently the IT University has roughly 2,000 students who bring a unique combination of cultural and academic backgrounds to the university, such as natural science, social science, business and liberal arts. Approximately 15 % of the students are international students making the campus a melting pot of different nationalities and educational backgrounds.
The IT University welcomes international students and offers support through the International Office and student counsellors.
Many organisations offer scholarships or grants. Some of these might help you to study for a Master at IT University of Copenhagen!
We take good care of our students. The university building has plenty of light, air and space to study and our excellent study facilities provide you with workspace for group work or individual studies after classes.
The range of extra services for international students is extensive:
Student life at the IT University of Copenhagen is a mix of hanging out with friends and fellow students at the university premises as well as enjoying everything the city of Copenhagen has to offer.
The study environment at the IT University focuses on both academic and social aspects. When you enroll at the IT University, you will be welcomed by a team of student counsellors that inform you about your programme. Here you will get to know your fellow students in a pleasant manner and perhaps form the first reading group.
All students in the building have access to a kitchenette, where you can cook a meal or just make yourself and your friends a cup of coffee. You can spend a well-earned break from your studies playing table tennis and foosball, work out in our fitness room or enjoy a drink and a discussion in our cosy student café, Analog, or the student bar, Scrollbar.
As the IT University is a small university, and all courses are taught in the same building, you will automatically meet your teachers and fellow students after class, and you'll meet entrepreneurs from the industry on the 5th floor.
All of the education programmes at ITU are approved by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Higher Education in Denmark.
As a tool of quality assurance, the programmes are continuously accredited and re-accredited by the Accreditation Institution in Denmark. This is based on the ESG (European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance) in the European higher education area. The process focuses on i.a. the academic content and the prospect of employment within a relevant field once graduated.
Together with the ISIC Association and British Council IELTS, StudyPortals offers you the chance to receive up to £10000 to expand your horizon and study abroad. We want to ultimately encourage you to study abroad in order to experience and explore new countries, cultures and languages.
