Schiller International University was founded in 1964 at the initiative of Walter Leibrecht (PhD.).
From its early starts in Heidelberg, and at its main campus in the United States based near Tampa Bay, Schiller International University would grow with the creation of other campuses, such as Paris in 1968, and later Madrid and London in the 1970s.
Finding appropriate housing in Paris can be a complicated and arduous task, especially for first time international students. For this very reason, Schiller has partnered up with several housing providers in the city to simplify the process.
Students are required to carry their own health and accident insurance (“couverture sociale”) or be covered by the French Social Security system. Coverage is required from the date of their departure from their country of residence until their return.
With plenty of international organizations and businesses based here, Paris is a logical place to be for students studying in the fields of international relations and business.
SIU Paris campus is centrally located, within walking distance from the Eiffel Tower, the beautiful Jardins du Luxembourg and the lively districts of Montparnasse and la Motte Picquet Grenelle.
Schiller International University (SIU) has received accreditation by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) since 1983. SIU is accredited by ACICS to award Associate’s, Bachelor’s, and Master’s Degrees.
