20 years ago, the first University of Applied Sciences in Austria opened its doors. This year the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt (FHWN) celebrates its 20th anniversary.

From the beginning, and in cooperation with numerous partners from the business and industrial world, student run projects have been successfully implemented. For this purpose, within the university building as well as at its own research company FOTEC state of the art equipped rooms, laboratories and infrastructure are provided.
The University of Applied Science Wiener Neustadt was the first University of Applied Science in Austria. It currently offers approximately 3.500 study places in the areas of Business, Engineering, Health, Security and Sport at the Campuses Wiener Neustadt, Wieselburg, Tulln and Rudolfinerhaus Wien.
The University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt (FHWN) is also an important innovation partner for Business and Engineering. By means of applied research and development as well as technology and knowledge transfer it is in constant dialogue with the business world.

The central task of our department is the coordination of all FH WN international relations, the establishment and maintenance of the partner network, providing advice and support of incoming and outgoing students and teachers and employees with regards to mobility and the planning and implementation of all international activities.

Miscellaneous accommodation facilities are available for students around the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt. There are low-cost accommodation possibilities, specifically designed for the requirements of students: in the student residential house of the "Fachhochschul-Immobiliengesellschaft" and in the equally nearby "WIHAST" student residential house.
The University of Applied Sciences Wr.Neustadt’s library is the largest scientific library within southern Lower Austria and may be visited and used in-house by everyone interested. Students, graduates, lecturers and employees of our university, as well as students of other universities are authorized to borrow books and other media.
The university city of Wiener Neustadt with over 40.000 inhabitants is situated just 35 minutes by car from Vienna, near the border of Burgenland. As a young and modern city, Wiener Neustadt has a lot to offer its inhabitants and visitors.
