Education is a personal right. The educational mission of the liberal democratic and social constituional state to which the university is committed, creates scope for the development of the personality beyond ideological and economic interests.Rationality and argumentative analysis, as well as openness for the perception of interests and the determination of standards of judgement, contribute to the maintenance and further development of the university’s autonomy. The university strives for the formulation of joint public statements on important issues, and thereby secures the support of its allies.
Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences receives substantial funding from regional, national and European research programs, making it a major scientific institution in the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main metropolitan area and beyond.
