We are an academic community that wants to enhance the PRESTIGE of the Pozna´n University of Economics and Business. We conduct research which significantly advances knowledge in the field of economic and related sciences. By educating undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students, we train highly qualified staff that will be able to conduct research activity and effectively meet the challenges of the labour market.

About

History

It is 1918. In an independent Poland, newly liberated from foreign rule, trade starts to develop, and the economy is consolidating. Thanks to a favourable situation in the world market, the region of Wielkopolska is enjoying a rapid development. This creates a need for a school which would train – theoretically and practically – highly qualified workforce for industry, trade and services.

Research

The Pozna´n University of Economics (PUE) is among the top three most renowned and influential Polish universities of economics.Scientific research is conducted in 49 PUE departments forming 5 faculties:

Housing services

There are 94 twin rooms with a bathroom and Internet access.On each floor of the dormitory there are two kitchens equipped with gas and electric cookers and a spacious launderette, where you can do your laundry free of charge.Each twin room is equipped with:

  • a kitchenette with a fridge and a set of cupboards
  • a bathroom with a shower
  • high-speed Internet connection
  • bed sheets

Library services

The Main Library of Pozna´n University of Economics and Business (PUEB) was established in 1926 upon the founding of Wyzsza Szkola Handlowa (the former name of PUEB). Today, over 80 years on, it has become north-western Poland's largest business research library.The Library supports teaching and research at the Pozna´n Univeristy of Economics and Business.

Student Life

Campus life

The University offers its students self-catering accommodation in its three halls of residence. They are located not far from the city center, and are well linked with the University by public transportation. All the buildings have recently been refurbished. Most of the rooms are double and equipped with a high-speed Internet connection. Exchange students are guaranteed to be offered a place in one of the University’s halls of residence.

Accreditation

The School has the accreditation of Management Education Association FORUM in Warsaw for its two programmes: MBA and Managerial Studies. Moreover the Wielkopolska Business School is a member of the European Foundation for Management Development in Brussels. Wielkopolska Business School has also certificate as The Best Quality Training Organiser.
