In the present-day appearance TSI was established in 1999. Nowadays TSI – is the only one private technical college university type in Latvia, where you can get higher education in Russian, Latvian and English languages. The Institute received permanent accreditation in Latvia as a higher education institution.
The Institute provides with the academic programs in the following directions: transport and logistics, computer sciences, electronics and telecommunication, economics and management, aviation transport.
In TSI you can get higher professional education of first and second levels, bachelor and master degrees, prepare and defend a doctoral dissertation.
The Institute Foundation Course is devised for applicants who are willing to apply for full-time study programmes at the Transport and Telecommunication Institute (TSI) whose level of English or Mathematics isn’t enough to study effectively or does not meet the programme requirements.
The mission of the Transport and Telecommunication Institute (TSI) is adaptive to the needs of society academic and scientific activities at the international market in the interdisciplinary areas based on the fundamental achievements in the sphere of high technologies in the form of open cooperative environment.

TTI Library reading-hall for students and professors is well stocked with up to date books and with a range of useful journals. There is also a computerized reading-hall inside of the same detached building where the students have an opportunity to practice on their own. Most of TTI Library working places for students are computerized.
Transport and Telecommunication Institute (TSI) has it's own Robotics Club. Here, students can apply the knowledge acquired in the technical studies. Students from different study years and programmes combine their efforts to create robots. The club also hosts special lectures, where students can learn a lot of new and interesting things.
The organizers and participants of the club want to achieve success in robots’ competitions in Latvia and Europe! We began with the organization of the robots’ competition in TSI, which took place on March 28th 2014. TSI teams also were quite successful in Latvian Robotics Championship in 2014.
