Van Hall Larenstein is part of Wageningen University and Research Centre, therefore we can offer you a vast range of higher vocational and university courses and research. Thanks to the transfer modules and transfer conditions developed within the Bachelor programmes of Van Hall Larenstein, you will be able to transfer to the scientific Master programmes at Wageningen University.
Our educational program is competence based. This means that, right from the start, you will be in close contact with professional life and practice. Supported by our teaching staff, you will work on your competences in a range of projects relating to applied research, practical internships and event management. Van Hall Larenstein has three sites in the Netherlands, at Leeuwarden, Velp and Wageningen.
At Van Hall Larenstein you will study in an inspiring international environment. Thanks to our internationally oriented curriculum, you will be trained to develop a sharp focus on international practice.
NVAO (in Dutch: Nederlands-Vlaamse Accreditatieorganisatie) is the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders. The organisation was established by international treaty and it ensures the quality of higher education in the Netherlands and Flanders. All study programmes of Van Hall Larenstein are accredited by the NVAO.
The Forum building is a unique eye-catcher. This brand new building was built on 'de Born', with a large library, computer facilities, project areas, information desks and a restaurant for a nice lunch or meal. VHL shares the Forum building with Wageningen University.

Each of Van Hall Larensteins three towns have individual qualities that make them great places to study. Each provides good accommodation, sport facilities and places to go out.
First, lets take Arnhem, which borders on Velp. Not only is it a city full of creativity and culture, there are also nature areas such as Sonsbeek Park in and near the town centre. Theres a large stadium for soccer and concerts, and a day out can be rounded off at Korenmarkt, the entertainment district.

Then there is the northern town of Leeuwarden, whose culture, sports and housing facilities have long made it one of the Netherlands top three student cities. Van Hall Larensteins student association is located in the university building - really convenient for socialising or studying between and after classes!
