It is our pleasure to introduce our highly equipped conference and meeting rooms as well as our hospitality services.
During the day, IBS Theatre Hall - previously known as IBS Stage - operates as the schools biggest auditorium, in the evenings and at weekends it serves as a venue for theatrical performances and concerts.
The IBS Theatre Hall is well-equipped and suitable for housing conferences, meetings, galas and professional events. In the foyer you can find a buffet and a cloakroom adjacent to the garden, terrace and the parking area.
The IBS Pub is nicely furnished and has an airy terrace and a passage to the English park. The pub with its delicate and sophisticated choice of food and drink is a convenient place for organising garden parties, meetings and cabaret shows. Our garden is a real oasis in spring, summer and autumn. The terrace is shaded by a roof, shielding it from the rain or the sun. This place is highly suitable for cocktail parties, banquets or weddings. In summer, we stage outdoor concerts and performances which can be ordered separately.
Located on the ground floor of the IBS building, the IBS Restaurant has a huge window overlooking the front garden and a direct entrance from Tárogató Street. It is easy to approach from the parking area and from the back garden as well. A big asset of the restaurant is that the room is not pillared or divided so the decoration and arrangement can be altered. Company banquets, weddings, family reunions and musical programmes can be organised in the restaurant.
Full catering service is provided on the IBS premises. Hot and cold food is available by self-service or served by waiters. Quality food and professional service is offered for weddings, meetings and conferences.
The main responsibility of the IBS Student Union is the representation and protection of students as well as the organization of student life. It is practicing the rights granted to the students by the higher education laws and the IBS rules and regulations.
The IBS Students Union is dedicated to improve the lives of our fellow students and to engage with them through the help of clear communications. The Student Unions homepage is aimed at providing students with information on who we are, what we do, and how we can be reached, while giving fellow students space for discussions, comments and interactivity.
IBS Freshmen's Camp
The Freshmen's camp is an event which its participants will never forget. The camp provides the very first opportunity for new students to peek into the community life of the university and get a feel of what exactly it means to be a part of an international community. Here, they get to know other members of their class through ever more exciting events and festivities spanning several days, after which everybody departs with useful and beneficial experiences and wonderful memories with which they can begin their first year in the higher education system.
IBS Freshmen's Ball
After the Freshmen have gotten used to the new surroundings at IBS, adapted to the international environment, made new friends, and have begun to tune into the atmosphere that the older students call the "IBS lifestyle," comes the Freshman's Ball. At a location consistent with IBS' standards, the ball is planned under the most exclusive circumstances, where at least 70% of the student body is present and where the Freshmen take their oath.
IBS Ski Camp
Every year an unforgettable and unmissable IBS ski trip is planned for the students. The period of time between the end of all the final examinations and the start of the new semester provides the perfect opportunity to relax and recover from all the stress and hardships caused by the examination period through a week non-stop partying and "chilling" in conjunction with skiing or snowboarding at one of Europe's best ski terrains.
While elsewhere there are end-of-semester parties, at IBS the so-called "SprIngBS" event turns this into a two day event, where we can enjoy the beautiful weather at a deluxe hotel on the shores of the Lake Balaton. Here, we look back upon the semester's successes, take the opportunity to make new friends, and enjoy ourselves with those we've known for a longer time. The IBS Student Union is responsible for and ensures a wide variety of events and programs, a lively atmosphere, and electrifying nightly parties.
