The aim of the Master Public Management programme offered by the University of Twente (UT) is to provide you with up-to-date knowledge on an academic level and to challenge you to acquire new insights and skills. In this way you are well equipped to successfully fulfill a strategic and managerial position in the public sector.

After completing the Master Public Management (MPM) you can apply acquired knowledge and insight from various scientific areas (organization, HR, politics, policy, finance and ICT), such as:

  • Recognize and translate the changing relationships between "public" and "private" to your organization
  • Addressing the issues in your organization in a multidisciplinary, creative and analytical way
  • Based on your own knowledge and vision, consider your organization from different angles and ask the relevant questions and provide answers
  • Doing methodically adequate research and critically assessing reports

    The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00.     The CAE test – or the Cambridge Advanced English – is an exam for applicants who wish to get a Certificate in Advanced English. To receive the Advanced certificate, test-takers must score between 142 and 210 on the Cambridge English: Advanced test. Read more about CAE.

  • you have completed a relevant HBO or academic degree;
  • you have at least five years of work experience.
