English Language Requirements

    The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00.     The CAE test – or the Cambridge Advanced English – is an exam for applicants who wish to get a Certificate in Advanced English. To receive the Advanced certificate, test-takers must score between 142 and 210 on the Cambridge English: Advanced test. Read more about CAE.

    The TOEFL – or Test OF English as a Foreign Language – offers a paper-based test (PBT). The final, overall PBT score ranges between 310 and 677, and is based on an average taken from the three test components (listening, structure, and reading).     The TOEFL – or Test Of English as a Foreign Language – offers an internet-based test (iBT). The final, overall iBT score ranges between 0 and 120, and includes a scaled average from the four components (reading, listening, speaking, and writing). Read more about TOEFL (iBT).

Academic Requirements

To be admitted to the Post-Graduate Certificate in Business Administration, applicants must have:
  • a baccalaureate degree with a minimum of a C/60% average or a Canadian college diploma with a B/70% average (or equivalent)
  • official transcripts (international students: please provide original English translated copy of university degree and transcripts.)
  • completed online application form
  • proof of language proficiency (international students only)

    • An IELTS score of 6.5 (or equivalent) is required to be admitted in this program.
    • All international students in the full-time program will be required to successfully complete the Canadian Academic and Business English and Mastering Canadian Business pre-requisites that are included in the international full-time tuition. These courses are designed to ensure you have the linguistic and cultural background that you need to be successful in the Certificate program.
    • If your IELTS score is 6.0, we have designed a special program that includes registration in an English Language Academic Program level 6 offering before attending the Academic & Business English and Mastering Canadian Business Courses at a discounted tuition.
