INSEAD’s modular Executive MBA programme is delivered across three fully integrated campuses: Europe (France), Asia (Singapore and the Middle East (Abu Dhabi). With three routes, depending on the starting campus, the programme at INSEAD - The Business School for the World offers experienced executives an intensive 14–17-month fast track to the top – via one of the world’s most prestigious and multicultural academic institutions.
Each class has an unparalleled diversity of nationalities, enabling participants to learn from each other and build a close-knit yet globally distributed network. Another unique feature is the Leadership Development Programme. Other EMBA programmes may offer leadership courses, but INSEAD includes a programme-long schedule of group coaching, 360-degree assessments and team activities, designed to develop a leadership style that is authentic to you – and thus accelerate your career progress even further.
The campuses are equally diverse, each with world-class faculty in residence. Whichever route you select, you will study on all three campuses and come together as a single class for the second half of the programme. The class graduates together in Singapore.

We are looking for experienced executives with intellectual curiosity, a desire to learn and challenge themselves in a rigorous academic programme. We welcome applications from around the world regardless of race, religion, gender, colour or financial status. Our aim is to build a top quality, exciting, dynamic and diverse class.
Leadership Potential and Professional Experience
INSEAD is looking for applicants who can demonstrate their potential as leaders. We will consider your professional experience and past performance when assessing your application. Participants in our current class have an average of 12 years work experience, with the range being between seven to 18 and at least three years management of teams and/or projects. More important than the length of your experience, however, is the quality of your accomplishments and motivation through career evolution.
The INSEAD EMBA is intensive, rigorous and challenging. You must have a sound academic foundation: a bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognised college or university (although in exceptional circumstances, we may waive this requirement for otherwise outstanding candidates with substantial professional experience). While many of our applicants have advanced degrees, this is not compulsory as we take into consideration professional experience, supported by the GMAT or the INSEAD EMBA Admissions Test (from February 2012).All applicants must either take the GMAT or the INSEAD EMBA Admissions Test, both of which provide a uniform and standardised way of evaluating candidates.
For the GMAT it is in your interest to prepare thoroughly. We advise candidates to aim for a score at or above the 70-75th percentile for both the quantitative and verbal sections of the GMAT. Please keep in mind, however, that standardised tests are just one of several admission criteria. A high score does not guarantee admission, and a below average score does not eliminate a candidate. As you will be asked to write seven essays as part of the application, we strongly advise you do not do the Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) part as this does not have an effect on the score.
For the INSEAD EMBA Admissions Test, preparation is necessary and will be satisfactorily limited to familiarisation with the test and question formats through samples provided from us by the end of January 2012. The tests take place on all of the INSEAD campuses.
We attract applicants with cross-cultural sensitivity and an international outlook. We consider applicants who have lived, worked, studied abroad or who are working for international companies or on an international level with clients, suppliers, etc.
Fluent English is a prerequisite at INSEAD.
Ability to Contribute to the INSEAD Experience
We look for participants who will contribute proactively and share the insights they have gained throughout their professional and personal experience. We seek candidates who demonstrate a clear desire for intellectual growth, both in the classroom and through working on group projects. We welcome participants who are mature, energetic, highly motivated, well-rounded, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. In addition, we try to build an exciting, dynamic and diverse student body representing many countries, backgrounds, styles and aspirations. It is our belief that a substantial part of your INSEAD experience will be shaped by your interaction with your fellow participants and your active participation both inside and outside the classroom.
At least 12 year(s) of work experience are required.Participants in our current class have an average of 12 years work experience, at least three years in a management role in charge of teams and/or projects. More important than the length of your experience, however, is the quality of your accomplishments and motivation through career evolution.
