The Fusion Master is the obvious path for those who want to specialize in fusion. The curriculum is truly interdisciplinary – combining elements from Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering – and places emphasis on the goal-oriented nature of fusion research. Also the international character of fusion research, the work in interdisciplinary groups and the societal aspects are emphasized in the program. Just to be sure: your diploma will say ‘Master of Science and Technology of Nuclear Fusion’.

Of course, the Fusion Master is the perfect preparation for a career in international fusion research. Now that the construction of ITER is starting, a new generation of bright and well-trained fusion researchers and engineers is needed. Young people with a good overview over the field, a keen eye for the societal aspects of fusion energy and the drive to bring the incredibly complex ITER project to success.
Fusion is an interdisciplinary field in which many competences come together. As Fusion graduate you will have learned to work in international, interdisciplinary teams, and to work against a deadline towards a concrete goal.

The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00. The CAE test – or the Cambridge Advanced English – is an exam for applicants who wish to get a Certificate in Advanced English. To receive the Advanced certificate, test-takers must score between 142 and 210 on the Cambridge English: Advanced test. Read more about CAE.
