Master's Degree Programme in International Business and Entrepreneurship at University of Jyväskylä is a generalist programme with a comprehensive perspective. IBE provides students with competences that are applicable in different sectors of the economy, different types of jobs, and different environments.


After completing the JSBE Master’s Degree Programme in International Business and Entrepreneurship , graduates will be ready to work in demanding managerial posts in international companies, as management consultants, or as entrepreneurs in their own businesses. Whichever path is envisaged, the programme will prepare graduates so that they have an entrepreneurial and strategic mindset, with solid analytical skills.

English Language Requirements

You only need to take one of these language tests:

  • Minimum required score:


    The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00. The minimum IELTS score requirement refers to which Overall Band Score you received, which is your combined average score. Read more about IELTS.

    The TOEFL – or Test OF English as a Foreign Language – offers a paper-based test (PBT). The final, overall PBT score ranges between 310 and 677, and is based on an average taken from the three test components (listening, structure, and reading).   • Minimum required score:


    The TOEFL – or Test Of English as a Foreign Language – offers an internet-based test (iBT). The final, overall iBT score ranges between 0 and 120, and includes a scaled average from the four components (reading, listening, speaking, and writing). Read more about TOEFL (iBT).

The selection process comprises of two parts:

1) Reviewing the application documents

2) Personal/Skype interview


 1. Bachelor's degree

Bachelor’s degree (academic first cycle degree) relevant to the field of education, and completed with good grades.

If the degree has not been completed at the time of application, an official university statement indicating the approximate date of graduation will be accepted. Admission of an applicant graduating after the application deadline is conditional until s/he submits the degree certificate.In case of a conditional admission, the previous degree must be completed by 30 June, 2017. An applicant who has been conditionally admitted must submit missing certificates at the latest on 17 July, 2017 by 3:00 p.m. (GMT +2).
