The Leicester MBA by distance learning provides you with the skills necessary to become an adept manager in today’s global business environment. It is AMBA accredited and provides you with first-rate academic standards. As well as the Leicester MBA, you will also be awarded a Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

The degree covers a broad spectrum of business and management subjects, calling on a wide range of expertise. It allows you to concentrate on general management or to tailor the course to suit your individual career needs. Areas of specialism include marketing, finance and human resource management.

The course will equip you with a thorough understanding of current and emerging theories, techniques, and practices of business management. English Language Requirements

You only need to take one of these language tests:

  • Minimum required score:

    The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00.     The CAE test – or the Cambridge Advanced English – is an exam for applicants who wish to get a Certificate in Advanced English. To receive the Advanced certificate, test-takers must score between 142 and 210 on the Cambridge English: Advanced test. Read more about CAE.

Academic Requirements

    The GRE® General Test is a widely administered admissions test that measures the skills needed in today's graduate and business school programs worldwide. The GRE® General Test contains three sections - Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. Three scores are reported: a Verbal Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, a Quantitative Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, and an Analytical Writing score on a 0 - 6 score scale in half-point increments.

  • Possession of a good UK honours degree or its overseas equivalentOR an acceptable professional qualification
  • OR possession of either the University of Leicester’s Diploma in Management or the University of Leicester’s Professional Diploma in Management
  • AND at least three years’ relevant work experience in a supervisory, managerial or professional role(s).

If your first language is not English you must satisfy the University's English language requirements (IELTS 6.5 or equivalent).
