Our Graduate Certificates in Public Health(Online Delivery) enable and support health professionals to enhance core competencies in public health while working in the communities that need them.
From the workplace, we invite public health practitioners to share their knowledge and experience with students as mentors, instructors, practicum supervisors, and research partners.
We welcome the public health community to experience a learning environment that supports, connects, and innovates.
The multidisciplinary nature of both health policy and health management presents both challenges and opportunities. The core disciplines include human resource management, public finances, health policy, law, organizational and personal ethics, and organization studies as applied to health care.
The goal is to address problems relevant to health policy, health services delivery, outcome measurement, patient safety, leadership, and organizational management relevant to health care organizations and systems.
Canada has no formal system of university accreditation. In Canada, higher education is the constitutional responsibility of the country’s 10 provinces and three territories, and universities derive degree-granting authority from provincial legislation. Concordia became a degree-granting institution in 1987, offering undergraduate and graduate degrees.
The Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada accepted Concordia into membership in 1990. AAUC is not a national accreditation body. Membership in AUCC held in conjunction with an appropriate provincial legislation or charter is generally accepted in Canada as the equivalent of institutional accreditation, which is common in the United States.
Canadian universities guarantee the quality and integrity of their academic programs. They have declared their commitment to AUCC’s principles of institutional quality assurance in Canadian higher education.
Concordia University College of Alberta is committed to the highest standards in education, spiritual care, service, and professional conduct and to the delivery of the best university programs for undergraduate, graduate and after-degree students. We value individual potential and offer a student-focused liberal arts education. We foster a Christian lifestyle on campus and encourage a dual commitment to academic excellence and religious vitality.

Planning ahead is the best way to put in place the financial resources to attend Concordia. While students attending university on a study permit are not eligible for Canadian federal, provincial, and territorial financial assistance, Concordia does offer some scholarships and bursaries for qualified international students after arriving.
