In cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine of Utrecht University, we have developed a Special Master’s track, named Regenerative Medicine and Technology (RMT). This Special Master’s track aims to educate the next generation of scientists and engineers in regenerative medicine and technology. The program is offered by Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e).

About

The Regenerative Medicine and Technology is offered by Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e).

This rapidly emerging, multidisciplinary field has significant impact on current and future health care. It combines the expertise of both universities, and includes courses on molecular cell biology, biomaterials, imaging technologies, computational modelling, bioreactor technology and translational research. The program will comprise a mixture of courses, research-driven internships, an (international) externship and an in-depth research project.

Students will have access to state-of-the-art laboratories at both universities. The program trains multidisciplinary researchers to innovate at the intersection of biomedical science, technology and clinical applications.

Accreditation

This special Master’s track is formally a track of the Master’s program Biomedical Engineering. The Master’s program Biomedical Engineering is accredited by NVAO (Nederlands-Vlaamse Accreditatieorganisatie), the Accreditation Organization of the Netherlands and Flanders.

Programme Structure

The Master’s track Regenerative Medicine and Technology (RMT) can be completed in two years, in total 120 EC. The first year consists of the mandatory introduction course (15 EC), specialization electives (10 EC*), external internship (20 EC) and free space (15 EC).

The core part of the RMT program consists of this introduction course of 15 EC and is mandatory for all RMT students. The course takes place every September and is the compulsory start block for every RMT student.
