The Berkeley Master of Financial Engineering Program provides you with the knowledge and skills to prepare you for a career in the finance industry. In one year, you will be ready to take a leading role in a fast-growing field that demands individuals who can apply their education and skills at the cutting edge of finance in investment banks, commercial banks, and other firms around the world.The MFE can be completed in 12 months of full-time coursework.
Applications are accepted year-round on a rolling deadline, and up to 68 students are enrolled each year. The program begins and ends only in the spring (March), and is not available part-time. The goal of the application review process is to identify those candidates who are the strongest fit with our program.

The TOEFL – or Test OF English as a Foreign Language – offers a paper-based test (PBT). The final, overall PBT score ranges between 310 and 677, and is based on an average taken from the three test components (listening, structure, and reading). Before starting a programme, you need to have a basic knowledge of the English language.
The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.
