Operations form the base of every organization, whether in manufacturing, service or non-profit industries. Operations Management and Logistics is a multidisciplinary field that comprises disciplines such as product development, quality management, logistics, information systems and human resource management. The program is delivered by Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e).

About

The Operations Management and Logistics research group is one of the European leaders in its field. Next to that, teaching in this program is closely linked to the most recent research results, so as far as the content is concerned you’re dealing with real state-of-the-art knowledge. 

In the teaching model the courses involve a lot of project work, with in-depth studies covering both literature and practice. Your mentor plays a vital role in the program, and supervises your work during three of the four semesters. Another unique aspect of the program in Eindhoven is its international focus, for example, because of the international teaching staff and international students.

Career opportunities

As a graduate of this Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) Master’s degree program you will be well prepared for a broad range of positions and careers. Examples are: supplier relations manager, quality manager in a production or service company, manager in a hospital or other care institution, consultant in business management or information systems, business analyst and performance manager.     The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00.     The CAE test – or the Cambridge Advanced English – is an exam for applicants who wish to get a Certificate in Advanced English. To receive the Advanced certificate, test-takers must score between 142 and 210 on the Cambridge English: Advanced test. Read more about CAE.

    The TOEFL – or Test Of English as a Foreign Language – offers an internet-based test (iBT). The final, overall iBT score ranges between 0 and 120, and includes a scaled average from the four components (reading, listening, speaking, and writing). Read more about TOEFL (iBT).

Academic Requirements

There are a number of general requirements and facts for admission to Master’s degree programs:

  • The best fit in prior education is a degree in Industrial Engineering.
  • Admission to the master program of Operations Management & Logistics is only possible with a degree in one of the engineering sciences.
  • You must have a relevant Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), based on a program of sufficient academic level and quality to enable you to complete the TU/e Master’s degree program to which you wish to be admitted.
  • You must be able to demonstrate sufficient command of English by submitting an Academic IELTS or TOEFL test.
