The department also offers a master’s Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education (SAAHE) program, which is specifically designed for individuals interested in working with college students.

The 42-hour master’s program prepares students to enter a mid-level management position at the college level. Students complete 18 hours of required coursework and 24 hours of electives. Electives are based on the student’s support field and specialization areas, and must be approved by the committee chair.

    The TOEFL – or Test OF English as a Foreign Language – offers a paper-based test (PBT). The final, overall PBT score ranges between 310 and 677, and is based on an average taken from the three test components (listening, structure, and reading). Academic Requirements

  • A one-page minimum statement of professional intent/career objective -- Must indicate why you wish to pursue the degree, and what the degree can accomplish for your career goals.
  • A current resume Work experience, academic history, professional and community services, publications and presentations, internships
  • Three reference letters These should be mailed or e-mailed direct to the Department from the writer. The letter should provide information on the connection of the writer to the applicant as well as why the applicant is a good fit for the program.
