Master in International Management - MIM from University of Trento equips students with refined business knowledge, practical experience and personal skills. Aimed at graduates and young professionals from all backgrounds, the program is specifically designed to provide an in-depth understanding of the needs and trends of the international marketplaces with the aim of developing young executives who can think analytically and make decisions to impact critical outcomes. Programme Structure

The Master in International Management provides sound knowledge in business management and finance (leadership and entrepreneurship, corporate strategy and marketing along with international accounting and finance) with solid foundations in international trade and law, together with a quantitative orientation and the exposure to a mixture of global scenarios. Special Business Labs (International Entrepreneurship, Start-Up Lab, Contamination Lab), aimed at stimulating students to apply their knowledge in the real business world, are also organized. In addition, a fully integrated internship will allow students to test and strengthen the newly acquired skills in the challenging environment.

Each semester Visiting Professors from our worldwide Partner Universities complement the widely recognized top quality education provided on campus by Trento Professors. International Managers as well as mentors from the world-wide start up community regularly visit Trento, give lectures and seminars about specific business and innovation topics, discuss with students practical case-studies  and guide them in their applied projects.

    The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00.     The TOEFL – or Test OF English as a Foreign Language – offers a paper-based test (PBT). The final, overall PBT score ranges between 310 and 677, and is based on an average taken from the three test components (listening, structure, and reading).     The TOEFL – or Test Of English as a Foreign Language – offers an internet-based test (iBT). The final, overall iBT score ranges between 0 and 120, and includes a scaled average from the four components (reading, listening, speaking, and writing). Read more about TOEFL (iBT).

Academic Requirements

    Average score: 600

    The average GMAT score from last intake (fall 2016) was 600.

    The GMAT - or Graduate Management Admission Test - is a frequent requirement for admission at management and business schools across the world. The GRE score ranges between 200 and 800 and measures the verbal and quantitative reasoning of test-takers. Read more about the GMAT.

Applicants have to apply the following documents in the online application form:

  • Transcript of records of the Bachelor Degree and GPA in percentage terms
  • GMAT or GRE Admissions Test (not compulsory but strongly recommended)
  • English language certification (minimum level B2) or proof of an excellent command of English
  • Statement of purpose (provide information on the motivation for the Master's program, extracurricular activities and work experience).

The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.


For non-EU students

Particularly deserving students can be awarded for the first year one of UniTrento scholarships of 5.200 euros according to their admission score.

Fees are waived as long as you benefit from UniTrento scholarship.

Every September the credits you have gained until 10th August are checked so that your scholarship can be confirmed and extended to the following year.

Should you not be able to get the needed credits within the deadlines (in May or 10th August at the latest), you will be asked to give back the part of scholarship already received and you will have to pay the fees according to your bracket correspondent to the number of credits earned and to your study course.
