International House was founded in 1953 when John and Brita Haycraft opened their first language school in Cordoba, Spain. In 1964 they set up a non-profit-making Educational Trust committed to raising the standards of English language teaching and training world-wide.

If you’re studying at International House London and need accommodation we have a variety of options for our full-time students depending on your age and budget.All our accommodation is close to either a tube station, bus route or railway station to make your daily journey to and from the school as easy as possible. We also try to provide accommodation that is no more than 50 minutes travel from the school’s central London location in Covent Garden.Unlike some schools we arrange your accommodation directly through our own accommodation department so you can rest assured that your stay will be of a certain standard.

The social programme is designed to help you explore the various sights and sounds that London has to offer. It might be a night out at a pub, club, bar or restaurant or a visit to one of London’s many museums, galleries, theatres or cinemas. For the more energetic, it could be a walking tour of famous sights, a night out bowling or an organised game of football.
