The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) facilitates applications, negotiations, and procurement of grant funding for activities that are consistent with the mission and role of the University.
Such activities include research, creative activity, acquisition of equipment, construction and improvement of facilities, and public service.
The office also administers state-appropriated funds that the University allocates for research and creative activity.

Booth Library is the general library of the University. The library collection consists of more than 978,209 cataloged volumes, approximately 1.2 million micro texts, as well as maps, music scores, and pamphlets selected to support the University’s educational mission.
Wireless access is available in all the residence halls, Greek Court and University Court. Students also have the option to access the network by using Ethernet connections.
EIU Health Service offers convenient care right here on campus! The Clinic is dedicated to providing student-oriented primary care and health education through medical services and a variety of programs.
These on-site resources include: a medical clinic, a full state certified lab, x-ray and EKG, pharmacy and over the counter medications, and the Health Education Resource Center.
The mission of Campus Recreation is to provide EIU students, faculty and staff with informal and formal recreational activities regardless of ability. We wish to promote a safe and enjoyable environment, encourage participation, and promote healthy lifestyles.
